POLBOAT at BOAT SHOW in Dusseldorf |
|
On 21-29.01.2012 in Düsseldorf took place one of the greatest boat shows in Europe – the BOOT. POLBOAT understand the fact that the event takes place in Germany, our most important trading partner, also decided to participate in this event.
In close cooperation with the Polish Consulate in Koln, POLBOAT organized a joint stand of the Polish Consulate and The Chamber. The stand has informative character and our staff informed potential visitors about the capabilities of our industry, as well as guided directly to the stands of Polish producers on the show. In addition, it held meetings with representatives of German sector magazines: Bootshandel and YACHT. At the meetings, was presented the power and potential of our industry as well as the current economic situation of the country. The purpose of the meetings was to persuade the German press to write articles on the Polish industry and its outstanding products.
In addition, on 23.01.2012 was held the General Assembly of European Boating Industry, in which the Polish Chamber of Marine Industry and Water Sports - also participated. At this meeting was discussed the economic situation of boat industry in different countries of the European Union. Currently, it is very difficult time, but working together to develop a uniform policy could help to strengthen the protection of the industry and its members in times of economic crisis. Most of the delegates stated that the fiscal crisis of individual countries largely affects the poor development of the sector. Therefore, EBI should actively monitor the activities of the European Parliament on issues relating to maritime economy. A great chance to survive in these times is to try to expand into new markets, developing well , such as China, India or Brazil. But it is not easy, because those countries are protecting its internal markets through establishing very high import taxes.
Finally, I would like to thank the Polish Consul in Koln - Mr. Zbigniew Burdzy for his help and active participation in our activities.
Sebastian Nietupski - Vice President
