Welcome!

After more than a year after the establishment of new authorities, it is time to summarize the achievements of the Chamber.

Present Management was appointed on 08.04.2010 composed of:

Andrzej Janowski – President
Philip Scott - Vice President
Sebastian Nietupski - Vice President
Zbigniew Stosio - Executive member
Jerzy Rakowicz - Executive member

At that time, the Board held nine times, made 13 resolutions.

Internal activities of the Board and to its members

• The Chamber began to show a profit. This was possible due to organizational changes, consisting in the resignation of the Director of the office and division of responsibilities between the Executive members.

• Traditionally, the Chamber in cooperation with the organizers of Boatshows in Warsaw and Poznan, held at the fair information stands, which were the meeting place for members of our organization

• In Warsaw, during the Boatshow - Wind and the Water, was a meeting in which it was presented Board's action plan (including the possibility of using EU subsidies for companies in our sector), its achievements to date and it was presented a new sponsor Raiffeisen Leasing.


During this year's Boatshow also had the opportunity to meet with a member of ICOMIA - Mr. Jouko Huju from Finland.

• During the Boatshow - Wind and Water, The Chamber has granted awards in three categories:
sailing yacht - prize was awarded to the company Delphia Yachts for Delphia 46 CC
motor yacht - prize was awarded to the company Galeon for yacht Galeon 385 Open
fittings and equipment - prize was awarded to the company Sail  Service for "sails of famous yachts"

Also awarded a special prize for the Yacht Expo for his contribution in promoting the sector

• Representatives of the Board took part in a meeting at the Ministry of Economy with Mrs. Eva Swedrowska and Mr. Igor Mitroczuk in the pilot program for financial support by the Ministry for our sector

• The Board held a series of meetings with the organization Cluster Polish Yachts, whose goal was to establish cooperation with this organization, resulting in creation of the Consortium Polish Yachts with which even more effectively and more members of the Chamber can benefit from the funds allocated by the European Union and from the Ministry of Economy for the promotion of Polish yacht industry.

• The Board's treatments attracted new members.  The new company are: Sedna Yachts, PEM, Yacht Hornet, Sailsbook, Aquatic Yachts, Antila Yachts, Jakol Yachts. Welcome to our group!

• Continued cooperation with the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade, which resulted in a further departure of Polish companies on a series of meetings with partners from Italy to Viareggio.

• At the end of May was organized visit by representatives of FINBOAT in Poland. Firms have reported their willingness to accept the delegation of Finland (24 persons) and had the opportunity to meet with partners from Scandinavia.

• The Board reported to the Patent Office logo and name: POLBOAT, Polish Yachts, Yacht Polish Chamber of Industry and Water Sports in order to protect our intellectual property.



Activities outside the Chamber

NATIONAL:

• Acquisition of the Honorary Patronage of the Race for the Polonaise Cup - April 2011
• Arrange meetings with representatives of Polish and European yacht industry in the Maritime Museum in Gdansk in the European Maritime Day, which was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Economy, the EIB, the European Commissioners responsible for maritime affairs.
• Participation in a meeting with Senator Mr. Głowski ( President of Piła-Polish city) on the activation of the waterway E70.
• Prepare The Report of the Yacht Industry in Poland for the year 2010 for ICOMIA and Raiffeisen Leasing

FOREIGN:

•  ICOMIA Conference Chicago - Participation in the conference - June 2010
• Athens Boat Show - visit the fair at the invitation of the Polish Embassy in Greece - October 2010
• Metz Amsterdam - visit the fair and meeting with European Boating Industry on the accession of the Chamber to this organization
• Dusseldorf BOOT - visit the fair, POLBOAT accession to the EIB - January 2011
• Paris - participation in the Plenary Session of the EIB - March 2011
• Oslo - participation in fairs, meeting with the President of NORBOAT, establishing cooperation with the Commercial Division of the Polish Embassy in Oslo - March 2011
• Portoroz, Slovenia - visit the fair at the invitation of the Polish Embassy in Slovenia -               May 2011
• Rotterdam-ICOMIA and EIB Conference - Introduction Chamber's member in the person of Mr. Piotr Jasionowski to the EIB executive member  - June 2011


Internal communication and image of the Chamber

• Established a new website, which helped to systematize and to enlarge the existing range of information about the Chamber. Page is updated on an ongoing basis.

• The printed posters and leaflets of the Chamber.

• The Board also established closer cooperation with the magazine "Sailing', so every month in future editions of newspapers are published information about the current activities of the Chamber.
